Sebastian Voigt has been working at the interface of design and manufacturing since his studies.
He combines the latest design strategies such as computational design and AI with the potential of new robot-assisted manufacturing processes to make single-item and small-batch production, far from mass production, both ecologically and economically feasible and to enable new freedoms in design and manufacturing.
In his exhibition, he shows prototypes of these new robot-assisted manufacturing processes, such as hybrid manufacturing or incremental sheet forming, and presents different approaches to how we can use the latest technologies such as AI and robotics to make ourselves more flexible in design and manufacturing in the future.
