Too many tree species, rare in our country, are used in large quantities for interior design and furniture. This leads to the fact, that the population of certain tree species decreases more and more. At the same time the central-europes most widespread hardwood tree, the beech has to be exported in faraway countries due to a lack of demand. We are committed to increasing the use of domestic beech wood and creating new perspectives for the underused beech wood. We show our innovation in this exhibition through a collaboration with horgenglarus, the oldest Swiss furniture manufacturer.
