The independent footwear label has its roots in urban youth and rave culture, created for nights that turn into mornings and for occasions as elegant as their guests. The designs are distinctive and effortlessly refined: clear, reduced, precise, and shaped by attitude. Sustainability and responsibility are not treated as a marketing add-on, but as a binding standard guiding material choices and production decisions. In order to meet its own sustainability ambitions, VELT works with external advisors, while the resulting carbon footprint is reduced in collaboration with ClimatePartner.

These sneakers mark a new era of footwear: designed for occasions to which neither classic leather shoes nor sports shoes offer a convincing response. The models presented here reflect the expectations of a new generation, moving deliberately between everyday life, evening wear, celebration, and personal expression. Produced in Portugal, vegan, CO₂-reduced, and made with carefully selected materials, they stand for an approach to design in which aesthetics and responsibility naturally belong together. VELT understands shoes as cultural objects: as an expression of a shifting sensibility and as a contribution to a new form of elegance that feels contemporary, self-defined, and unforced.

VELT designs vegan shoes and engages with the design question of what contemporary elegance can look like at a moment when classic leather shoes no longer reflect the sensibility of a younger generation.
