With Soft Giants, the studio explores the boundaries between art, design, and function, creating oversized, handcrafted textile sculptures that transform ordinary spaces into immersive environments of comfort, interaction, and creative expression.

At Berlin Design Week, Aufschnitt Berlin unveils two groundbreaking projects that redefine textile artistry. First, an awe-inspiring, over-seven-meter-high cuddle monster, crafted in collaboration with Werkbande for the Studio of Wonders, which blurs the line between sculpture and playful interaction. Second, an innovative partnership with Tüftel Lab Berlin, resulting in massive, organically shaped beanbags inspired by elementary particles—functional, yet sculptural objects that challenge perceptions of scale and materiality.

These textile sculptures are far more than visual statements – they are multisensory experiences that invite touch, exploration, and interaction. Whether as a sculptural centerpiece in a modern office or a dynamic lounge element in visionary interiors, each piece represents a new way of thinking about softness as a design principle.

This exhibition offers a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into the meticulous creative process, from initial sketches to the final masterpiece. More than just visually striking, these textile sculptures are multisensory experiences—inviting touch, interaction, and exploration.

The exhibition is expanded by Bergit Faßl and her label/platform a.ACHAT, which positions itself as an interface between fashion/costume, interior design, music, and craftsmanship. For Design Week, she presents one of her most extraordinary textile Pojagi wall hangings—a powerful composition of texture, color, and artistic experimentation.

[758
765,796
419
565
448,455,446
["post-45052","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-bdn-en","tag-2025-en","tag-design-nights-en","art-exhibition","datum-15-05-en","designfeld-craft","designfeld-user-experience-design","designfeld-interior-design
["GET
