Marizon Bilano is an industrial designer of German-Filipino heritage. As part of the artist collective and Swiss studio the Artelier, she creates art and furniture pieces in Berlin. Her aesthetics within the field of design could be described as bipolar: she loves to show transparency, by not hiding the grid or construction that helped the product to gain its functionality. On the other hand, her favorite objects puzzles. Simple mechanisms reinterpreted and transferred into a different medium — or scenario — is her preferred strategy, when looking to tackle a design problem. And there is always a little bit of weirdness involved.
