Erik Spiekermann

Erik Spiekermann’s graphic identity & design work has been a distinctive part of the visual landscape since the 1970s. Founder of MetaDesign & Edenspiekermann, he gave a defining look to Berlin’s public transport system, Deutsche Bahn, The Economist & brands such as Audi, Volkswagen & Bosch, et al. FontShop, first mail-order distributor for computer fonts, was his initiative. He designed numerous typefaces, e.g. ITC Officina and FF Meta. He now runs an experimental letterpress workshop in Berlin
