Franz Polzhofer allows himself the freedom of subjective perspective on questions of
design in this exhibition of selected seating furniture by, among others, Ron Arad, Frank
Gehry, Eileen Gray, Kengo Kuma, …..
Inspired by his many years of practical and theoretical work as a furniture designer, object
and spatial planner, Polzhofer began building his own study collection early on. Due to the
collaboration with internationally renowned producers and designers, this collection was
gradually expanded to include vintage furniture, prototypes and objects from editions.
Franz Polzhofer has a very personal story associated with many of the pieces from this
collection, which he tells in a guided tour of the exhibition.
