“Life is Pink” is the latest exhibition of the renowned photographer Bernhard Musil. For Musil, pink embodies more than just a color – it is an attitude and an almost childlike refusal to accept the status quo.
In his series “Life is Pink” the Berlin-based artist documents the clash between sparse, urban environments and a colour, which is associated with naivety and trash. His pictures create a slightly grotesque world that oscillates between the light and dark sides of human existence. Varying from dreary to sarcastically humorous, Musil captures moments that bear witness to a subtle resistance to the monotony of everyday life.
