Everyone knows the legendary Bauhaus. But do you know what the renowned figures sat on in the workshops and classrooms? On Rowac-Schemel. With its timeless design, the archetype of the workshop stool is still relevant today, uniting dynamic interior concepts of different styles and trends from art, architecture and design. This design classic is now back in production over 70 years later. Made in Germany, of course!

PRACTICAL PRODUCTS THAT ARE HONESTLY MADE AND DESIGNED TO LAST.

In 1909, the world’s first riveted furniture made of lightweight steel was presented at the Leipzig Trade Fair. Alide and Dieter Amick have made it their mission to preserve this cultural heritage from Chemnitz and pass it on to future generations. Together with traditional artisans and craftsmen within a 40 km radius, the Rowac-Schemel is manufactured with the same advantages as over 100 years ago: timeless design combined with practical, indestructible and honest construction. And that’s just the beginning. They’re already working on reviving select products from the existing range and developing newly designed products with characteristic features for which Rowac is known for. These include the Rowac-Schemel in bar-height, as well as chairs, tables and cabinets.
