“Helga Goetze was an activist and artist from Berlin, renowned for her radical views on love, sexuality, and feminism. In the 1970s and 1980s, she gained recognition for her vigils in front of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, where she advocated for the liberation of female sexuality and critiqued societal taboos. Her artworks span a variety of mediums, including textile art, painting, and poetry, through which she consistently conveyed provocative messages and personal freedom.
The project n≠1, developed at HTW Berlin – University of Applied Sciences under the leadership of Prof. Pablo Dornhege and Prof. Andreas Ingerl, now allows for a completely new way to experience Helga through artificial intelligence. Visitors of the installation can engage in a dialogue with Helga, enabling them to get to know her and her work in a personal conversation.”
