This project by Alice Potts looks at a diversity of people from London with different backgrounds and lifestyles who sweat in a variety of ways. From jobs dedicated to sport, fully vegan diets, office jobs with active lifestyle and people who live for the rave culture. This collection looks at how for the first time ever we can begin to wear our sweat and who we are.
Each Cap has been worn by one of 8 individuals over 6 weeks whilst they live their normal lifestyle, allowing their sweat to embed into the fibers of these pieces allowing the crystals to grow from within each product. These aren’t only art pieces but a visual representation of each individual at this time in their lives. Here showcases new sustainable ways to design and how we can re-imagine new materials and how we decide to wear our fashion pieces.
