82 posters. 82 languages. One brief: to translate the word “tolerance” visually — in your own language, with your own means.
The Tolerance Project is an international travelling exhibition founded by Mirko Ilić — illustrator, former art director of the Op-Ed pages of the New York Times, and one of the most influential voices in graphic and poster design worldwide. The posters are by internationally acclaimed designers from around the world. Since 2017, the show has travelled to more than 50 countries, reaching over 700,000 people.
For Berlin Design Week 2026, the Tolerance Poster Show returns to the festival for the second time. 82 selected posters will be on show at Die Macherei — printed by Lieblingsdrucker Berlin. Political poster culture as attitude, not decoration. A contribution that takes the festival motto DESIGN REAL at its word.
