Who can participate?
Application process
Step 1:
Fill in the registration form for the format of your choice further down this page. Tell us about yourself and briefly introduce your work or the project you want to present at BERLIN DESIGN WEEK. In terms of dates and times, your concept can range from a one-time event to a format that spans several days.
Once you have submitted the form, you will receive a confirmation e-mail containing a summary of your information. You will receive an answer from the BERLIN DESIGN WEEK programme team within two weeks.
Step 2:
If your event is approved by the BERLIN DESIGN WEEK programme team, you will receive login data for the final programme form where you can enter further information and details about your event.
Once you submit this form, you will once again receive a confirmation e-mail containing a summary of all the information you have sent us.
Step 3:
Once we have received detailed information about your event and your materials, we will enter this information into our programme.
Participation fees
Curated program and subformat DESIGN+SCIENCE
Designers, studios, agencies, companies :
- 1–10 employees: EUR 700
- 11–50 employees: EUR 1,400
- More than 50 employees EUR 3,000
Cultural institutions, educational institutions, research institutions :
- Flat fee: EUR 1,000
All prices subject to VAT
The prices for the sub-formats DESIGN POOL (from720 €) und BERLIN DESIGN NIGHTS (from200 €) vary.
As a participant in the curated overall program of the Berlin Design Week, participation in the DESIGN POOL and the BERLIN DESIGN NIGHTS is possible at no extra charge. Please fill out the appropriate forms if you would like to participate.

With DESIGN + SCIENCE, we are creating a platform that focuses on the interplay between design, science and research.
Subformat Berlin Design Nights 02. – 03.05.
Our BERLIN DESIGN NIGHTS offer a showcase for the diversity of Berlin’s design culture. Designers and studios open their doors on two evenings.
Subformat Design Pool 27.04. – 28.04.
Our design market DESIGN POOL is a central element of the BERLIN DESIGN WEEK. It is the only sales format that offers designers the opportunity to present their craftsmanship and products.
Subformat Berlin Design Day 27.04.
The BERLIN DESIGN DAY is the kick-off event of the BERLIN DESIGN WEEK and is a cooperation between Berlin Design e.V. and the BERLIN DESIGN WEEK.
Subformat next 27.04. – 05.05.
NEXT presents young design talents from Europe who are committed to shaping a sustainable future. In collaboration with EUNIC Berlin and the Kunstgewerbemuseum der Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin.
