Dutch type designer Luc(as) de Groot is best known for his huge superfamily Thesis: TheSans, TheSerif, TheMix and TheAntiqua. He designed custom fonts for taz, Der Spiegel, Le Monde and Folha de S.Paulo, and corporate type for Heineken, Volkswagen and Miele. For Microsoft he developed Consolas and Calibri. Luc(as) is a father, husband, illustrator and master of many crafts. As a devoted type technician and hinting lover, he invented the Anisotropic Topology-Dependent Theory of Interpolation. He runs LucasFonts in Berlin and lectures worldwide. Designers love the friendly appearance and quest for extremes.
