Vita

Robert Neuendorf is a Hamburg based designer and founder of Neuendorf Arterior. His work operates between sculpture, space, and functional design. Starting from urban control systems like markings, barriers, and warning codes, he translates them into objects and environments that challenge behavior and reframe how space is used.

Talk

Based on the “Urban Signals” collection, the talk explores how elements from the built environment are transformed into furniture. What is designed to control and distance is reworked into objects that invite use. The focus lies on the shift where control turns into interaction, creating new forms of proximity and appropriation.
