Designing Between Worlds

This workshop invites designers to reflect on how the places and cultures we come from, together with the experiences we carry, influence the way we perceive and create space.

By returning to the first point of entry into a new country as a moment of first impression, participants will explore how arrival, memory, emotion, and perspective can leave a lasting mark on how we understand space, belonging, and connection.

Through reflection, dialogue, and creative exchange, the workshop reveals how lived experience can deepen creative practice and inspire new ways of imagining spaces with greater meaning, sensitivity, and impact.

It is an invitation to see design not only as a response to context, but also as an expression of who we are and how we are continually shaped by the worlds we move through.
