An open evening with AKO, the object practice of ALLEN KAUFMANN ARCHITEKTEN, winner of the ArchDaily Building of the Year 2026 in Interior Architecture. We present furniture built from flat solid-wood parts using DT (dovetail) joinery and the patented DADO joinery (Germany). No screws, no tools, no hardware, nothing concealed. Live assembly demos, joint samples, technical and design conversation, and drinks.
A small set of Material Studies (aluminum, brass, heat-treated steel) appears as a secondary layer — experiments in fabrication, heat, tolerances, and material behavior — while the wood work remains the core story.
