Velt Studio opens its doors during Design Week Berlin for a group exhibition emerging from its own creative cosmos. Usually operating as a coworking space and production hub for designers, photographers, artists, architects, and other creative practitioners, the space itself becomes an immersive exhibition body for the duration of the show. Across approximately 500 square metres, a multi-voiced presentation unfolds, featuring photography, sculpture, illustration, and other works from the community of around 120 members.
Since its founding in 2015, Velt Studio has established itself as a lasting meeting point within Berlin’s design scene, shaped by exchange and mutual support. It brings together creatives from around the world in an open LGBTQIA+ safe space where diversity is not simply acknowledged, but naturally lived. The presence of both a dedicated rental studio and a fashion atelier alongside the coworking space gives the venue an additional dimension. Design is not only presented here, but also produced, photographed, developed, and continuously refined. On the evening of the exhibition, the space opens not only as a setting for art and design, but also as a social environment. A bar invites visitors to stay, making the exhibition an occasion for encounter, conversation, and the informal continuation of what defines Berlin’s creative scene.
