EN: OTHERWISE Interferences
How can design become effective as a political practice? OTHERWISE brings together works that explore this question through material, space, and process—situated between design, art, architecture, and craft as the site of societal negotiation.
As part of this year’s Berlin Design Nights, OTHERWISE presents a collection of individually and collaboratively produced objects and furniture. Created by designers and makers working across different disciplines, the pieces highlight locally produced craftsmanship in Berlin while celebrating uniqueness, community, and a shared curiosity.
Participants include:
Anne Dérian — ceramic tile artist
Noé González — Noé Metal Design
Hannah Kaplan — Atelier Kaplan, textile design
Cornelia Laufer — Gallery Inside Atelier, object design
Juro Lehmann — Studio Lehn, interior architecture, furniture design
Boris Pizzeghello — Superforma, architecture studio
Süheyla Schroeder — Professor of Cultural Studies and Visual Communication, Berlin International University of Applied Sciences
The evening kicks off at 6 pm and continues until 10 pm at INSIDE Galerie & Atelier, Droysenstraße 16, 10629 Berlin.
If you are unable to attend on 28 May, the exhibition will remain open to the public on the following Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 12:00 to 18:00 each day.
