Do we need to control every step of the creative process? Should designers reflect on their very personal feelings in their objects? Can a utilitarian object be unusable? Can mistakes be beautiful? Does kitsch have value at all?
The exhibition „Inner Space” aims to look behind the objects. Going beyond form and function, we are searching for the psyche of the designer encoded into their objects, and looking into the impact of our environment on our mood and emotions.
Following the more than 100-year-old living tradition of Hungarian designers at the Bauhaus school (Moholy-Nagy, Marcell Breuer), the participating designers are all bold explorers, not afraid to experiment with materials, forms, or even psychological and philosophical concepts.
